Haluk Erceber was born in Istanbul in 1957. After graduating from Vefa High School, he studied Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Chemistry of Istanbul Technical University (ITU).

He began his career in the chemical industry in 1985 in the Production Department of Organik Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., where he served as Production Supervisor and Assistant Factory Manager until 1989.

Between 1989 and 1997, Mr. Erceber worked as Production Manager in the Chemicals Division of Türk Hoechst. During this period, he played a key role in increasing the company’s water-based acrylic polymer dispersion production capacity, contributing significantly to Türk Hoechst becoming a leader in the sector. He also attended training programs at the company’s headquarters in Frankfurt on Plant Management, Occupational Safety, and Research & Development.

Following Hoechst’s global decision to cease its operations, Mr. Erceber was appointed Factory Manager at Organik Kimya in July 1997. During the following decade, he played a significant role in achieving major capacity increases at the Kemerburgaz production facility and in the construction and commissioning of a new production plant in Rotterdam in 2007.

In 2010, his responsibilities were expanded when he was appointed Facilities and Engineering Manager. Between 2009 and 2011, he led the establishment and commissioning of a Powder Polymer Production Facility in the Tuzla Istanbul Free Zone. As of early 2014, he assumed additional responsibilities as Facilities and External Relations Manager, reporting directly to the Chairman of the Executive Board.

For more than twelve years, Mr. Erceber has actively contributed to the Turkish chemical industry through his roles at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), serving as Chairman of the Basic Chemicals Professional Committee, Member of the Assembly, and Vice Chairman of the Environmental Specialization Committee. In addition, he has served as the Founding Chairman of the Chemport Chemical Manufacturers Association since 2014.

Mr. Erceber currently continues his duties as a Member of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Chemicals Industry Council. He was elected Chairman of the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD) at the General Assembly held on 22 February 2018 and serves as TKSD’s representative and ex officio member within the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic).

His personal interests include basketball, horse riding, and football. He is fluent in English.

Dr. Derya Erçıkan was born in Istanbul in 1960. She completed her secondary and high school education at Saint-Benoît French High School in Istanbul.

She received her Bachelor's and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). She obtained her Master's degree from the Department of Fuel and Energy at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, specializing in Environmental Pollution Control and the Biodegradability of Detergents in Nature, under a scholarship granted by the Turkish Ministry of Health pursuant to Law No. 1416.

Upon returning to Türkiye in 1987, she worked as a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Marmara University.

In 1990, she returned to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University as a Research Assistant and completed her doctoral dissertation.

In December 1993, Dr. Erçıkan joined EGE Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. as R&D Manager. She was appointed R&D and Laboratories Manager in 2000 and served as R&D Manager of the Evonik/EGESil joint venture between 2001 and 2010. Since 2010, she has been serving as Technical and R&D Director for the entire group.

Dr. Erçıkan is married and has one son. She is fluent in both French and English.

She is a member of the Cefic CEES (Soluble Silicates) Technical Committee. Since 2002, together with Mustafa Bağan, she has participated in Cefic REACH meetings in Brussels as one of the only industrial representatives from outside the European Union.

Osman Şahit Kanuni was born on 3 April 1957 in Zonguldak, Türkiye. In 1960, his family moved to Istanbul after his father, Müfit Kanuni, transferred his business interests in Zonguldak due to the increasingly competitive market conditions that emerged following the liberalization of imports in 1959. He completed his primary education at Nilüfer Hatun Primary School.

Mr. Kanuni graduated from Kadıköy Maarif College (now Kadıköy Anadolu High School) in 1975 and earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 1979.

Between 1979 and 1980, he pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom, specializing in Reaction Kinetics and Reactor Design.

He began his professional career in 1980 as a Shift Engineer at Erksan Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret Kontuarı A.Ş. Over the years, he held a number of increasingly senior positions, including Assistant Factory Manager, Factory Manager, Technical Coordinator, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager.

Between 1991 and 1995, Mr. Kanuni served as Vice President responsible for Operations at Erksan Holding A.Ş. Since 1995, he has been serving as General Manager of Deteks Kimya Sanayi A.Ş.

He married Ayşe Nur Kanuni in 1982, and their son, Umut, was born in 1986. His personal interests include swimming, volleyball, skiing, and windsurfing.

Mr. Kanuni is actively involved in a number of professional and civil society organizations. He currently serves in various capacities within the 1907 Fenerbahçe Association, the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD), the Kadıköy Anadolu High School Education Foundation Board of Trustees, the Corporate Governance Association of Türkiye, BÜMED (Boğaziçi University Alumni Association), the TOBB Chemicals Industry Council, the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) Professional Committee, and the Kadıköy Anadolu High School and Anatolian High School Alumni Association.

Özge Doğan has more than twenty years of experience in the chemical industry. Since beginning her career in 2002, she has held a variety of positions in quality management, project management, and sales within international companies.

Since 2017, she has been serving as Country Manager of LANXESS Türkiye, while also holding the position of Sales Manager for Türkiye within the Advanced Intermediates Business Unit.

Throughout her career, Ms. Doğan has played an active role in the development of the chemical industry, the operations of international companies in Türkiye, and business development initiatives. She has also been actively involved in the activities of the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD) since 2017.

Ms. Doğan holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and an MBA from Istanbul Bilgi University. In addition, she has completed an executive finance program at INSEAD.

She is fluent in English and German.

Nüket Hekiman Çörekçioğlu graduated with distinction from Notre Dame de Sion French High School and subsequently earned her law degree with honors from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University. Following her legal traineeship, she completed a Master's degree in Economic Law at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Specializing in Commercial Law, Ms. Çörekçioğlu has contributed to the field through her academic study entitled “The Election, Term of Office, and Termination of Duties of Board Members in Joint Stock Companies.”

She began her professional career as an independent attorney and joined PharmaVision Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. in 2019. Since 2021, she has been serving as Human Resources and Legal Affairs Manager, where she is responsible for the strategic management of the company's human resources and legal functions.

Ms. Çörekçioğlu is married and the mother of two children.

Muhsin Selçuk Denizligil worked as an academic at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) between 1986 and 1997. During this period, he completed his Ph.D. studies and was awarded the title of Associate Professor.

Between 1997 and 2019, he held various senior management positions at Henkel, Cognis, and BASF. From 2019 to 2022, he served as General Manager of Polisan Kimya. Since 2023, he has been serving as General Manager of Alkim Alkali Kimya.

Throughout his professional career, Denizligil has actively contributed to numerous non-governmental and industry organizations, serving on the boards of several associations, including the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD) and the Turkish Chemical Society (TKD).

Dr. Denizligil is married and has one daughter.

Selim Kubat was born in Istanbul in 1976. He completed his secondary and high school education at Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and subsequently completed his Master's degree in Business Administration at Koç University.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Kubat has held both technical and commercial positions at Birleşik Oksijen Sanayi, Pfizer, Cargill, and Evonik. Since 2023, he has been serving as Sales Director at Akkim Kimya and Akkim Europe.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Kubat is actively involved in various organizations. He serves as a member of the Divan Board of Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü (Beşiktaş JK) and as a Board Member of the Turkish Swimming Federation.

Mr. Kubat is married and has one daughter. He is fluent in English.

Mehmet Başalp graduated from the Department of Chemistry at Ege University and completed his Master's degree at the same institution.

Since 2000, he has been working at Akdeniz Chemson Kimya Sanayi, where he currently serves as Research and Development Manager.

Throughout his career, Mr. Başalp has played an active role in product development, process improvement, technical problem-solving, and customer-focused project management. He is also actively involved in industry platforms and professional organizations that contribute to the development of the chemical industry.

Adil Kaya,

Ekin Tükek, General Manager of Flokser Kimya, one of Türkiye’s leading polyurethane systems houses, graduated from Koç University’s Department of Chemistry in 2009.

After completing an MBA at Barcelona European University, she earned a second Master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Kadir Has University. She later completed a degree in Cultural Heritage and Tourism at Istanbul University. Ms. Tükek was ranked 29th in Ekonomist Magazine’s “Top 50 Most Powerful Women CEOs” list.

Since 2010, she has held various positions within Flokser Tekstil and Flokser Kimya, working across departments including Procurement, Research & Development, Finance, and Human Resources. She also founded the Flokser Volunteers community, through which she leads the company’s volunteer engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Under her leadership, Flokser Kimya continues to invest in research and development every year through the industry's first Ministry-approved R&D Center. With its commitment to product quality, high production capacity, and innovative approach, the company continues to create value and make a difference in the markets it serves.

İrem Atay Şimşek graduated from Saint Michel French High School and earned her degree in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU). She later completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at California State University, Long Beach.

In the early stages of her career, Ms. Şimşek worked in the sales department of Croda, a UK-based global specialty chemicals company. In this role, she was responsible for managing the company’s operations in Türkiye, increasing market share, and maintaining strategic relationships with key corporate customers.

She subsequently joined GREEN Chemicals, a second-generation family business, where she assumed leadership of the Sales and Marketing Department. During this period, she focused on strengthening the company’s market position, developing new sales channels, and modernizing marketing strategies. By combining her engineering background with sales and marketing expertise, she contributed to improving operational efficiency and business performance. She currently serves as Deputy General Manager for Business Excellence & Sustainability.

One of the most notable milestones in her career has been the establishment of her own brand, Feu du Ciel. Bringing together her knowledge of chemical engineering and her passion for aesthetics, she designs candles and home fragrances under this brand. The venture represents not only a commercial endeavor but also a creative project that combines the precision of chemistry with the elegance of art.

Her piano education, which began at the age of five, and her studies at the Istanbul University Kadıköy State Conservatory, have been among the key influences shaping her creative perspective in business. She has also maintained an active interest in sports throughout her life.

Ms. Şimşek’s vision is to contribute to the strength and development of Türkiye while creating inspiring initiatives for women. Her mission is to generate value for people and help unlock the creativity within individuals.
