The MTP, which is prepared with a three-year perspective by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Presidency of Strategy and Budget every year, became official with the Presidential Decision on 04.09.2022 in accordance with Article 16 of the Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5018.

The Medium Term Program (MTP), which started the preparation process of the central government budget, is the main policy that includes macro policies, principles, target and indicative basic economic sizes, total revenue and expenditure estimates for the next three years, budget balance and borrowing status, and appropriation proposal ceilings of public administrations. document.

The MTP includes policies to be followed in areas focused on growth and employment and priority measures to implement these policies.

The main purpose of the MTP is the realization of, by taking Turkish Economy Model as basis

MTP Program - Green Transformation

“Green Transformation” is the second of the eight titles in the Macroeconomic Objectives and Policies section of the MTP program.

According to the program, Turkey will determine its medium-term low-carbon growth strategy within the next two years, within the scope of its 2053 net zero emission target.

In this direction, the amount of additional investment that the sectors will need for green transformation will be determined and road maps will be prepared for their transition to low-carbon production.
