Dangerous Substances that can be Transported in FRP Tanks

Dear Members;


The letter on “Chemical Substance Transportation” dated 12.11.2024, numbered 45549 and received from the General Directorate of Regulation of Transport Services of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure was forwarded to our association from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. We present its contents for your attention below.


As it is known, the transportation activities of relevant dangerous chemicals such as (a) Ministry Authority Approved, UN 1791 (Sodium hypochlorite), UN 1789 (Hydrochloric acid), UN 2582 (Iron III chloride), UN 1760 (Corrosive liquids), UN 3264 (Polyaluminum chloride), UN 2581 (Aluminum Chloride Solution) and UN 3082 (Environmentally hazardous substance - only for corrosive liquids) and UN 1005 (Ammonia, Anhydrous) are to be carried out until 30.09.2024 with vehicles having a Vehicle Status Determination Certificate in accordance with Regulation on the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road.


As a result of the evaluation of the applications made to our Ministry by the transporters and tank manufacturer companies / companies engaged in such transportation activities, due to the expiration of the period given for the dangerous goods transportation activities, the following decisions were made here.
