Dear Members;

As part of its advocacy activities on the Green Claims Directive, Cefic has requested support for the preparation of the Council's negotiating position by resubmitting the Cefic Position paper "Cefic's Views on the Green Claims Directive" dated 29 June 2023 on access to the Council to the relevant Member State authorities.

-Cefic published the Commission proposal on the Green Claims Directive on March 22, 2023 as part of the Consumers Package. 

-Upon its adoption at Committee level on 14 February, the Parliament,

-By embracing its final position On March 11, 2024, expects to adopt the Council General Approach on June 17, 2024.
