Following the announcement entitled “Announcement on the Registration of Chemical Substances under the KKDIK Regulation” published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye on 4 March 2026, questions and comments submitted by our members were consolidated by TKSD and formally communicated to the Ministry.
In this context, the Ministry has now provided written responses to the questions submitted by our Association.
The responses include clarifications on, among others:
The responses particularly included clarifications that:
- provisional registration is mandatory by 30 September 2026 for all substances manufactured or imported in quantities of 1 tonne or more per year,
- provisional registrations may be submitted as lead, member, or individual registrations,
- following the provisional registration, full registration processes will continue until the final registration deadlines in 2026, 2028, and 2030 depending on the relevant tonnage bands,
- missing data may be submitted within the scope of provisional registration provided that appropriate justifications are presented,
- non-copyrighted literature data may be used in provisional registration processes, and
- missing data in provisional registration dossiers may subsequently be completed during the full registration processes.
