Responsible Care Global Implementation Survey Now Open for Member Companies!
The Responsible Care Leadership Group (RCLG) of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) is conducting a global review of Responsible Care implementation, following a request made by the ICCA Association Roundtable (ART) in February. The review aims to better understand differences in how the Responsible Care program is implemented around the world.
Following the initial survey sent to national associations in April, the RCLG is now conducting a member company survey to gather input directly from companies. The survey seeks to better understand how Responsible Care is being implemented in each economy, the value it delivers to member companies, and potential opportunities to strengthen the program in the future.
The results of the survey will inform regional association discussions, the October RCLG meeting, and the path forward options to be presented at the ICCA October Board meeting.
Key details regarding the survey are as follows:
- Participation in the survey is voluntary.
- Member companies that are able to respond are strongly encouraged to answer all questions where possible.
- The deadline for responses to be included in the summary findings is Friday, 21 August 2026.

The RCLG Chair and Vice Chair will conduct interviews directly with selected ICCA Board member companies. Therefore, survey responses are not requested from the following companies: Asahi Kasei Corp., BASF, Clariant, CP Chem, Cydsa, Dow, Evonik, ExxonMobil, LyondellBasell, Sabic, Thirumalai Chemicals Limited, Milliken Chemical, Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsui Chemicals, Proviron, and Rhodia.
As part of this important initiative that will contribute to strengthening Responsible Care at the global level, we look forward to the participation and valuable contributions of our esteemed members.
